Artificial Intelligence vs Human Intelligence

Robots are becoming part of our lives. Artificial Intelligence machines are already doing some work no worse than humans. For example, in Japan, robots were taught to conduct Buddhist funeral ceremonies, and in the United States, a robot guard has been on duty for several months, which can predict crimes. Smart machines have learned to bluff, beat professionals in chess or GO, translate, and recognize a human voice. We can already find all the diagnoses, draw no worse than Rembrandt, sing, or generate text. It is unclear how far humans lagged behind AI, and if not, then who is still stronger in certain areas.

An article from the “educba.com” website shows complete data on the difference between artificial intelligence and human intelligence. However, before we get to them, we need to define two intelligences.

Artificial intelligence is the study and design of intelligent agents, that can analyze the environment and produce an action, with maximum success. To create it, you will need quite a few scientific and humanitarian fields. For instance, computer science, psychology, linguistics, cognitive science, etc. What about human intelligence, our intelligence consists of experience in the past, adaptation to new cases, and we, unlike AI, take information through perception.

Returning to our article from “educba.com” there are several advantages of artificial intelligence, firstly, the speed of execution, imagine that the doctor can identify one diagnosis in a few minutes when the robot can distinguish a large number in an instant. Secondly, a less biased opinion, people have a bias because of what does not allow them to think critically, however, the robot does not have it and AI, will take on any possible work, with any conditions. Also, operational abilities, we people can be tired, lazy, morally depressed, because of what we need rest. The robots are all different, they will do the job twenty-four hours, and without getting tired. Lastly, the accuracy, the preciseness of the output will be much efficiently, because the computer has many sources that make it easy to find information.

What about the comparison between AI and human intelligence? There will be 5 criteria: energy efficiency, universal, multi-tasking, decision making, and state. In the beginning, energy efficiency, the power of the robot is only 2 kilowatts to learn when the power of a person exceeds as much as 23 kilowatts. Furthermore, universal, people throughout life can learn many skills. However, robots designed so that they can perform only a few tasks according to the program written by the creators. Also, people can do lots of work at the same time, changing focus from one to another. What about decision making, people make decisions based on their past experiences, and even at crucial moments, they can think critically and weigh all the pros and cons. The robot will make its decision according to the scenario and will not be able to go beyond it. Finally, the state, in humans it is analog, and in robots it is digital.

From the article you can understand that artificial intelligence is much stronger in matters that have a certain sequence, which does not need creativity and the creation of something new. It can be a game of chess, sell product on the counter or be a guide around the city. Nevertheless, such works as a teacher, psychologist, financial analyst, where human communication skills, feelings, instinct are needed. Additionally, the article well emphasizes that people can be rebuilt depending on the situation when the robots will have to be reprogrammed completely, but this is not a fast thing.

In the article, written by Lauren Horwitz, “AI vs. human intelligence isn’t a fair matchup, says expert” says that “AI always prevails. Without question, artificial intelligence is becoming, well, more intelligent.”(Horwitz). Lauren Horwitz is the managing editor of Cisco.com, where she covers the IT infrastructure market and develops content strategy. Previously, she had some experiences as an editor in companies such as TechTarget, Cutter Consortium and American Prospect. She explained what AI can act, typical of human intelligence, and said that machine learning allows computers to use algorithms to give computers access to data for training. Furthermore, she answered the most debated question with the advent of robots in the workplace which is “will people be replaced by them?” “In the growing debate about AI vs. human intelligence, the given wisdom has been that AI will augment human tasks but not replace them, anytime soon”(Horwitz), the article says that robots will provide human labor savings. But, business processes need intelligent thoughts and behaviors, which tells us about the border between them and us in at least some area. AI perfectly replicate intelligent behavior, but intelligent thinking is another matter. Human thoughts are not fully understood, so there is no guarantee that folks can provide them to robots soon.

To summarize, human intelligence is much larger because its creation of God and artificial intelligence is the creation of us, we cannot create our kind. We can compare us with them only in certain areas, and we cannot give a definite evaluation of each variation. In general, comparing humans and robots is not at all correct, it is the same as comparing one person with another, we are all unique in our way, and can dominate somewhere. The most important feature of humans is that we can create, and robots can perform systematic work with high accuracy. And it is necessary to improve our qualities given to us from God.
